One Month Home!

Phew! Well, it has been exactly one month since we arrived home with Xiaojun. Time sure flies. As my post from the first week home indicates, it was a rough beginning with the dogs, jetlag and the realization by me that life as I knew it was over!
Now that we've been home a month, things are overall very good. We had my mother in law here for a few weeks, then my parents and brother (the now famous Shu Shu Teddy!) here to visit. It was a whirlwind, but good. Xiaojun got along great with everyone and knew and understood exactly who was who.
He is really an incredible kid whose personality gets brighter each day. He is very funny and everyone who meets him comments on his sense of humor. He also is seriously smart. He thinks of things I never would come up with and is learning English at an astonishing rate. He is already using many 3 word sentences and we almost always understand eachogher.
He is now in cast #3 of hopefully 8 to correct his clubfoot. The doctor thought he was making good progress and is encouraged that the casting will work and we won't need surgery. It is making for a very long and hot summer ahead with no water fun allowed! I'm also building biceps by the minute picking him up and carrying him around all the time...fringe benefit I guess.
I will post pictures soon.
